North Country

Tajinder Singh Hayer – Writer Writer for theatre, radio and film. He has been on attachment with West Yorkshire Playhouse and Royal Court. His first two plays were produced by the Playhouse in 2005 and 2008. His films have shown internationally, including Hawaii, Zanzibar and London. Bradford born and bred, he now lives in Walsall.

Alex Chisholm – Director Associate Director (Literary) for West Yorkshire Playhouse 2001- 2014. Directed Nine Lives by Zodwa Nyoni, currently on national tour. Previous productions include Dust  community play by Kenneth Yates, Mela by Tajinder Singh Hayer, Scuffer and Sunbeam Terrace by Mark Catley, Tender Dearly and Non-Contact Time by Jodie Marshall, Huddersfield by Ugljesa Sajtinac, English version by Chris Thorpe.

Aisha Khan – Dramaturg and Audience Engagement Aisha is a playwright, dramaturg, director and former English and Drama teacher. Her plays have been produced by Slunglow, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Royal Exchange and BBC Radio. Aisha has tutored and mentored on a number of writing schemes including those for Slung Low, Freedom Studios, Tutti Frutti, West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Royal Exchange Theatre.

Lladel Bryant – digital and young people engagement Lladel is a graduate of Manchester School Of Theatre and the co-founder of Chicken Shop Shakespeare. He is also the Creative Projects Producer for The Geraldine Connor Foundation & was awarded with the title of UK’s Young Citizen Of The Year 2006.
