The Duchess of Malfi (Iyalode of Eti)

Director – Moji Kareem Directing work includes: London Tales (Rich Mix and Lost Theatre), PIAD (Cultural Centre, Calabar),  This Is Our Chance (Cultural Centre, Calabar), The Shepherd’s Chameleon (CLF Art Cafe, London), House of Corrections (Riverside Studio), Pandora’s Box- Assistant Director (Arcola Theatre, London), Wake Me When It’s Time (York Theatre Royal, York).

Writer – Debo Oluwatuminu Plays include Fractured Dream (1986), Goodbye John Mbiti (1988) and The Onion Skin (1998). His play A Pebble in the Sea featured in Tiata Fahodzi’s African shorts at the Arcola in 2004. In 2007, he worked in collaboration with Conflict Zone Arts Theatre, with writers from Israel, Palestine, Pakistan and Kosovo.

Music Composer – Juwon Ogungbe Juwon is a musician, singer, composer and band leader, of Nigerian heritage. Placing African music at the heart of his work, Juwon incorporates pop, jazz and classical music into his expressive range. Commissions include music for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Union Dance and the Southbank Centre.

Designer- Rajha Shakiry She has designed and collaborated on numerous devised and text based projects, physical theatre, musical theatre and opera.  Most recent designs have included: I Stand Corrected (Artscape, Cape Town and Oval House, London), Richard II (Ashtar theatre, Hisham’s Palace, Palestine and Shakespeare’s Globe) and Still Life Dreaming (Spare Tyre and Wellcome Trust at the Pleasance, Edinburgh Fringe).  .

Lighting Designer – Emma Chapman Theatre credits include: a co-production between The Leeds Theatre Trust and West Yorkshire Playhouse of Boi Boi is Dead; four shows including Rose with Art Malik at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe, The Planet and Stuff and Run for Polka Theatre; two plays for Bath Theatre Royal Ustinov Studio; Dublin Carol (Donmar season). 

Movement Direction - Diane Alison-Mitchell Her credits include Julius Caesar (Royal Shakespeare Theatre), Julius Caesar (RSC, Illuminations, BBC), The Relapse (Embassy Theatre), Lola – The Life of Lola Montez (Trestle Theatre), All About It (Little Fish Theatre), and The Beggar’s Opera, Rhinoceros, Midsummer Night’s Dream (ALRA Theatre). Diane was part of the creative team for the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.
