An accomplished and experienced senior manager and producer who has been at the heart of the development of Black arts centres, including the Nia Centre, Peepul Centre and Rich Mix. She has been the Arts Council assessor for a number of Black arts capital projects, and is currently the Artistic Director of Serendipity.
Neil Hunter | Musical Director
Classically trained in piano and organ, Neil is an in-demand pianist on the jazz circuit, accompanying British artists including Jim Mullen, Art Themen and Tony Kofi, and playing festivals across the UK, in Finland, with the Afro Elements and Jamaica, with the legendary Sonny Bradshaw.
Carol Leeming FRSA | Singer
A dramatic mezzo soprano, with an extended vocal range over several octaves, Carol is well known for her original songs and creatively reworks of standards, as Nu Jazz music with her seminal band, and guest vocalist with The Random Acts of Senseless Beauty and Funk Jazz Soul Collective.
Mellow Baku | Singer
Innately skilled, innovative performer of song, spoken word, jazz vocalese and scat, Mellow has performed nationally and internationally alongside and collaborated with artists from around the world including Courtney Pine, Fertile Ground, Soothsayers, Jean Binta Breeze and Soweto Kinch.
Delores Joseph | Singer
With a passion for soul, motown, reggae, jazz and the blues, Delores' love for singing was encouraged by Leicester band Oneness in 1984. She went on to sing for Motown band Ten Feet Tall, and backing vocals for renowned Bob Marley Tribute band Duppy Conquerors touring Europe extensively.
Ili Sanchea | Singer
Emerging singer, rapper and songwriter Ili is based in Derby. Her love of music was inspired by her grandfather and father, and her time spent singing with a Gospel Choir and playing piano as a child. Ili is quickly gaining acclaim as a talented vocalist.
Consisting of exciting emerging talents and established sought after musicians, the quartet features keys, saxophone, bass and drums, the band features some of the Midland’s finest session players.
