Seasons of a Lady
Director and Co-Writer: Keely Augustus is a freelance Theatrical Director and Creative Producer, specialising in lyrical plays and events. With a Masters in Creative Producing for Live and Theatrical Events, Keely has a full understanding of the life cycle of events and also first-hand experience of the administration processes that are needed within an artistic project. To date Keely has produced and directed two African- American choreopoem plays, and produced a research and development phase for a rehearsed reading of a new choreopoem called ‘Harriet’ by Zhana. This led to a short film screening of ‘Harriet’ at the I.C.A. Keely operates as the co-writer and director for Seasons of a Lady.
Co-Writer: Chiedza Dzika is a 31 year old female Zimbabwean. She is a trained media practitioner having studied broadcast journalism, literary documentary and photographic documentary.Chiedza is an avid writer of poetry, stage drama and prose - a longstanding passion emanating from her study of literature. Her particular interests lie in the post colonial experience of African women and those in the diaspora. Her written works explore identity, love, gender and the politics of power. To date, she has contributed to one finished work, Seasons of a Lady, co-written with Keely Augustus. She continues to work on her novel, Aggie and Johnnie.
Producer: Olusola Oyeleye, Director and Dramaturge, Olusola is an award winning writer, director and producer working in opera, music theatre, visual arts and dance. Sola studied physical theatre at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, writing for Film and television at the National Film and Televison School, Beaconsfield and has an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice and Psychology from the University of Essex. Sola has also worked in Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Theatre includes: Tin (The Lowry Studio & MAC), Scenes from Ti-Jean and his Brothers (Collective Artistes & Sustained Theatre, RNT Cottesloe), Resident director on Trevor Nunn’s West End production of Porgy and Bess (Savoy Theatre), staff producer at English National Opera, Spirit of Okin and Sankofa for Adzido Pan African Dance Ensemble, (National & International tours)
