Memories of Mermaids

“Brighton Black History Month saw a triumph in this amazing one-woman show by Kerri McLean. Depicting a community group who keep watch on the Thames for signs of mermaid activity – especially when a young girl called Marika goes missing. Using the underestimated power of storytelling, physical theatre and a solo guitar, we were enticed like the lost souls are to the call of a mermaid and never lost interest. McLean had a stunning range of vocal and acting talent that brings this fantastic modern fairytale to life."
