Friends For All by Simon Mole & Peader Kirk STAGE MANAGER / TECHNICAL OPERATOR CALL OUT


  • Stage Manager required for Friends For All, a spoken word show for children and families. Commissioned by the V&A and on tour as part of Half Moon Theatre Presents.
  • Involves operating video projections (Isadora), sound and light cues (Q-Lab). Compiling show reports and managing Get In / Get Out for 4 performances at Polka Theatre and future tour dates in 2018*See below
  • Reporting to: Producer Maeve O’Neill, Director Peader Kirk, Artist Simon Mole

Performance Location: Polka Theatre, 240 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1SB


  • Must be available for get-in, performances and get-out at Polka Theatre
  • Team meet / Isadora training on date to be mutually agreed
  • Get In & Shows at Polka Theatre: Thursday 19 - Sunday 22 October 2017
  • Responsible for driving van with set and props and managing Get In / Get Out
  • Responsible for operating video, sound and light for every performance
  • Responsible for setting up props and costumes
  • Daily Show reports
  • Must have experience of Q-Lab
  • Must have ability to drive short wheel base van and be holder of a clean driving license

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of using Isadora (Video-mapping program)

Project Overview:

8 year old Lexi wishes she could wear what she wants to school, wishes she could be who she really is. Inspired by Grandad’s stories from the 60s she decides to fight the powers that be, namely her teacher and the class bully.

Friends For All is an interactive spoken word performance for families, with rapping, dancing and far-out video projections. Inspired by the V&A’s ‘You say you want a revolution’ exhibition.
