Nine month fixed term contract commencing September 2017

The Theatre Royal Plymouth is the largest and best attended regional producing theatre in the UK and the leading promoter of theatre in the South West.  We have a national reputation for the production of new plays and for the development and presentation of internationally-renowned dance, drama and musicals.  We provide an extensive creative learning programme which reaches diverse groups within our community.

This is a training and development position to observe and assist in the direction of productions and other processes and to assist and develop communication of artistic priorities in Plymouth and elsewhere.

You should have a serious interest in the depth and breadth of work of this significant producing and presenting theatre and in the role of an Artistic Director.  You will have a knowledge of current contemporary theatre and you will be enthusiastic, tactful and disciplined.

While the post is for a fixed term of nine months, it may be possible to accommodate some flexibility.
